Our Story

We are Shammrie and Imani Brown, a husband and wife united by our love for Christ and our shared mission to serve His purpose in every aspect of our lives. Our story began in 2008 when we became friends in college, and in 2013 we were blessed to marry. Though our journeys to accepting Jesus as Savior are different, He has united our hearts in a common pursuit—to live out His purpose and share His love with others.

In 2016, Shammrie answered God’s call to ministry, serving the local church through outreach, baptizing new believers, mentoring leaders, and, in 2024, being ordained as a Pastor and serving on the board of new churches.

Imani’s heart for service and hospitality continues to shape her calling—from managing a ministry food pantry to creating meaningful connections through food, coffee, and community. Today, she runs her own virtual assistant company while homeschooling our children and developing Christian homeschool curriculum. She loves traveling, spending time with family, and growing in faith. Together, we are blessed to write biblical devotional content for the YouVersion Bible App, encouraging believers in their spiritual journeys. Rooted in Chicago, we are driven by a shared love for Jesus and a commitment to serve God faithfully and live out His purpose every day.
